FAQ

What do you feed your chickens?

To ensure their hens are well-nourished, they provide a diverse diet consisting of a carefully balanced mixture of Kalmbach Feeds, scratch, dried mealworms, refreshing lettuce, crunchy carrots, golden corn, and even fresh cuttings from their meticulously maintained front yard raised bed gardens.

How long are the eggs good for?

Unwashed room-temperature eggs can be kept on the kitchen counter for approximately 2 weeks.

Can I refrigerate my eggs?

For optimal egg storage, it is advisable to wash your eggs and place them in the refrigerator if you do not intend to consume them immediately. By refrigerating eggs, you can extend their shelf life to a considerable extent, typically lasting anywhere between 3 to 5 weeks. This method ensures that your eggs remain fresh and safe for consumption over an extended period. Please read our egg cleansing instructions guide.
